Basketball Recap: Te'maree Bates' Big Game Can't Quite Lead NYOS Charter over Founders Classical Academy

NYOS Charter lost against Founders Classical Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The NYOS Charter Jaguars came up short against the Founders Classical Academy Archers, falling 60-37.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Te'Maree Bates, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Zaragoza, who had nine points.

NYOS Charter's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Founders Classical Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the NYOS Charter Jaguars duke it out with the KIPP Austin Collegiate Cardinals at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Founders Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Idea Pflugerville at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Founders Classical Academy sitting on four straight wins and Idea Pflugerville on six.
