It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Edward can now relate to. They came up short against the Mendota Trojans on Wednesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, St. Edward can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Mendota are ranked 74th).

St. Edward dropped their record down to 5-17-2 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mendota, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.
