Basketball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Woodville-Tompkins' Winning Streak

Woodville-Tompkins lost against Beach back in November of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines fell 52-42 to the Beach Bulldogs. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ke?Juan Ferguson, who posted 12 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Reid, who put up 12 points.

With the loss, Woodville-Tompkins broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Beach, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

Woodville-Tompkins will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Glynn Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Beach also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Bradwell Institute at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
