Basketball Recap: Lake Oswego Comes Up Short

Lake Oswego lost against Tualatin back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lake Oswego Lakers took a blow against the Tualatin Timberwolves, falling 100-61. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Timberwolves are ranked first).

Lake Oswego has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Tualatin, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Oswego will take on West Linn at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tualatin, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Tigard at 7:30 p.m. Tualatin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Tigard likes a good challenge.
