Softball Recap: Kennedy Has No Trouble Against Lindblom

After only two runs in their last contest, Kennedy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lindblom on Friday. The Crusaders were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Eagles. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kennedy got a massive performance out of Yesenia Valdez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Valdez is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jessica Monarrez, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

Kennedy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 11-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lindblom, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Kennedy has already played their next match, a 16-2 win against Kelly on the 28th. As for Lindblom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 23-12 victory against Chicago Washington on the 28th.
