Baseball Recap: Rudyard Wins Going Away Against Mackinaw City

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pickford, Rudyard was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Mackinaw City Comets with a sharp 8-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Rudyard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Mackinaw City, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.

Coincidentally, Rudyard and Mackinaw City will both be playing Pellston the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Hornets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Comets will play them later in the day, at 9:00 p.m.
