Recap: Colonial Forge Eagles vs. North Stafford Wolverines
After flying high against the Brooke Point Black Hawks last Wednesday, the Colonial Forge Eagles came back down to earth. The contest between Colonial Forge and North Stafford wasn't particularly close, with Colonial Forge falling 42-28. Colonial Forge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Stafford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Destinee Salgado, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds for North Stafford. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Maia Joseph, who scored nine points.
Colonial Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for North Stafford, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colonial Forge will take on Massaponax at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Massaponax presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Colonial Forge in Virginia (Massaponax is ranked 47th, while Colonial Forge is ranked 310th). As for North Stafford, they will head out on the road to face off against Brooke Point at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Brooke Point is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
