Preview: King Philip Regional Warriors vs. Diman RVT Bengals
The King Philip Regional Warriors will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Diman RVT Bengals at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (King Philip Regional has eight straight victories, Diman RVT has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
King Philip Regional stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over North Attleborough. Given King Philip Regional's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked first, while North Attleborough is ranked 33rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Diman RVT suffered a tough 42-21 loss at the hands of West Bridgewater on Saturday.
The losing side was boosted by Sam Perry, who threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Kaidyn Dias was another key contributor, picking up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown.
King Philip Regional's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.2 points per game. As for Diman RVT, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
