Basketball Recap: Montello Comes Up Short

Montello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Princeton/Green Lake Tigers at home by a 41-26 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hilltoppers of the 53-30 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Montello's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Princeton/Green Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Montello will square off against Berlin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Princeton/Green Lake, they will challenge Randolph on Friday.
