Basketball Game Preview: Campbell Hall Vikings vs. Windward Wildcats

Campbell Hall hasn't had much luck against Windward recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Campbell Hall Vikings will challenge the Windward Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Campbell Hall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Windward likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Campbell Hall earned an 80-72 victory over Viewpoint. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Patriots are ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Windward fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Brentwood School on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 76-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (61), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Campbell Hall has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Windward, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-7.

Campbell Hall came up short against Windward in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 66-62. Can Campbell Hall avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
