Softball Recap: Leopold Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Leopold dropped their record down to 8-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 10-0 to the Oak Ridge Blue Jays. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

As for Oak Ridge, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Blue Jays, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

For Oak Ridge's part, Kinsley Bogenpohl made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Bogenpohl a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one triple.

In other batting news, Kaelyn Deckerd was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tristen Berry, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
