Basketball Recap: Evans Comes Up Short

Evans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Lake Howell Silverhawks 60-17. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Silverhawks are ranked 100th).

Lake Howell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christiana Glover, who posted 22 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mazaiah Marc, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Evans' loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Lake Howell, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-6.

Evans has already played their next game (against Lake Buena Vista), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lake Howell has already played their next matchup, a 71-15 win against Lake Minneola on the 30th.
