Football Recap: Monroe City Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Monroe City kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 41-22 bruising from the Valle Catholic Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Warriors are ranked 32nd).

Coming up, Monroe City will look to defend their home field on Friday against Montgomery County at 7:00 p.m. As for Valle Catholic, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on St. Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
