While Hamilton Southeastern's win against Seymour wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Royals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Owls on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Royals, who have now won three contests in a row.

Madison Burlingame and Haleigh Seitz did most of the damage at the plate: Burlingame went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double, while Seitz went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Seitz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Burdick, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hamilton Southeastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

Hamilton Southeastern's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Seymour, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
