Volleyball Game Preview: St. Paul Wildcats vs. Lakeview Vikings

The St. Paul Wildcats will square off against the Lakeview Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Paul comes in on four and Lakeview on six.

St. Paul not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Central City with a sharp 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

St. Paul's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zaya Lewis, who had 35 assists and eight digs. Lewis is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Keislyn Poss, who had 20 digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, Lakeview was able to grind out a solid win over Pierce on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

While Lakeview might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pierce scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20.

St. Paul's record is now 14-7. As for Lakeview, their record now sits at 20-3.

St. Paul might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Lakeview in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
