New Diana was the 3-0 winner over Sabine when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Friday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22.

New Diana's loss came despite strong showings from Taryn Reece and Kenzie Thompson. Reece had 34 digs and two aces, while Thompson had 15 digs. Reece has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

New Diana's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Sabine, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

New Diana wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Atlanta on the 23rd. As for Sabine, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Harleton on the 23rd.
