Basketball Game Preview: Prairie Grove Tigers vs. Gravette Lions

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Prairie Grove Tigers challenge the Gravette Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Prairie Grove came up short against Berryville and fell 46-35. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Bobcats are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Gravette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Shiloh Christian and fell 58-23.

Prairie Grove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Gravette, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Prairie Grove was able to grind out a solid victory over Gravette in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 53-44. Does Prairie Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gravette turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
