Baseball Game Preview: Hall Titans vs. Avon Falcons

The Hall Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Avon Falcons at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Hall's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Avon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Hall and Farmington had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Titans fell just short of the River Hawks by a score of 4-2 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Avon posted their closest victory since April 9th on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Simsbury 7-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Avon's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Hall, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Everything went Hall's way against Avon in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Hall made off with a 12-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
