Basketball Game Preview: Stroud Tigers vs. Holdenville Wolverines

Stroud and Holdenville are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Stroud Tigers will take on the Holdenville Wolverines in a tournament on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Stroud: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Holdenville has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Stroud is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Holdenville on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Stroud had to suffer through a 63-24 loss at the hands of Holdenville. The Tigers were down 44-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Stroud's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Holdenville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
