Basketball Recap: Brilliant Comes Up Short

Brilliant was the 57-53 winner over Hackleburg when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Brilliant Tigers fell 48-41 to the Hackleburg Panthers on Monday.

When it comes to explaining why Brilliant lost, don't look at Hadlee Sanderson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Karagan Stanford, who posted three points.

Brilliant's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Hackleburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-9.

Brilliant didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-41 victory against Berry on the 28th. As for Hackleburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 47-44 loss against Belgreen on the 28th.
