Football Recap: Comer Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Comer put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Rauner Wildcats by a score of 26-14. The Catamounts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Comer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaleel Bryant led the charge by rushing for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Edens, who threw for 169 yards and two TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes.

Comer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jadin Edmondson and Jayson Tucker. Comer got some further help from Antonio Henderson: he picked up two sacks and made eight total tackles.

Comer's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Rauner, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Comer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-0 victory against Chicago Vocational on the 20th. As for Rauner, they have also already played their next game, a 20-0 win against Clemente on the 18th.
