Napa is 0-10 against American Canyon since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will look to defend their home field against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Napa turned things around against Justin-Siena on Friday. They blew past the Braves 9-3. The Grizzlies not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th (when they won 10-2).

Brooklyn Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off 13 hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mattea Buhman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Courtney Mayer, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Napa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, American Canyon made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sonoma Valley on Friday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Dragons. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Deja Montgomery was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Del Castillo, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
The victory got American Canyon back to even at 9-9. As for Napa, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-13.
