Baseball Game Preview: Dumont Huskies vs. Ramsey Rams

Dumont is 0-10 against Ramsey since April of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. The Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 2:00 p.m.

On Friday, Dumont didn't have quite enough to beat Paramus Catholic and fell 8-7. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jarrett Carramusa was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Dumont: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-8 otherwise. Luke Sobek was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Ramsey came out on top against Lakeland Regional on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Lancers.

The team relied heavily on Sean Sailer, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Alex DeSimone also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Dumont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Ramsey, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Dumont might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Ramsey in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
