Volleyball Recap: Brooklyn Beethe and Jordyn Levinson Secure Win for Gretna East

Gretna East entered their tilt with Lincoln Northwest on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons. The Griffins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Gretna East was led to victory by Jordyn Levinson and Brooklyn Beethe. Levinson had 18 assists and six digs, while Beethe had eight digs and three aces. Levinson is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good server: Gretna East was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Lincoln Northwest's loss came despite strong showings from Lilly Keifer and Savannah Martin. Keifer had 11 digs and three assists, while Martin had nine assists and six digs.

Gretna East's record is now 3-0. As for Lincoln Northwest, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Gretna East and Lincoln Northwest will both be playing Bellevue East the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Chieftains at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Griffins will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
