Basketball Recap: Holbrook Roadrunners vs. Window Rock Fighting Scouts

Holbrook took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-33 win over the Window Rock Fighting Scouts. The Roadrunners have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fighting Scouts, too.

Tyler Tapaha had a dynamite game for Holbrook, going 8 for 12 en route to 19 points plus five rebounds and two steals. Tapaha has been hot , having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Salabye, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Holbrook was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Window Rock only posted seven.

Derek Martinez and Jaylen Brown certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Martinez scored eight points plus six rebounds and two steals, while Brown posted 12 points plus seven rebounds and three steals.

Holbrook has already played their next game, a 69-52 victory against Tuba City on the 23rd. As for Window Rock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-43 defeat against Gilbert Classical Academy on the 29th.
