Basketball Game Preview: Catholic Memorial Crusaders vs. Freedom Irish

The Catholic Memorial Crusaders and the Freedom Irish will round out the year against one another at at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Catholic Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Catholic Memorial beat Lakeside Lutheran 57-53. The win was all the more spectacular given the Crusaders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Warriors are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Freedom put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Clintonville, posting a 99-42 victory. The Irish's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Freedom's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.1 points. As for Catholic Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
