Soccer Recap: Santa Fe Catholic Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Santa Fe Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Carrollwood Day Patriots by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Hawks have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Alyssa Herrera, who's now up to five this season.

Santa Fe Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5-2. As for Carrollwood Day, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-11-1.

Santa Fe Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carrollwood Day, they will head out to square off against Lakeland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Carrollwood Day surely won't give up without a fight.
