Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Moeller Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Archbishop Moeller had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt La Salle on Thursday. The Fighting Crusaders blew past the Lancers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

Among those leading the charge was Tyler Wong, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in March.

Archbishop Moeller couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 45.8% of their attack attempts. That's the best hitting percentage they've posted all season.

Archbishop Moeller's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5. As for La Salle, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

After both having extra time off, Archbishop Moeller and St. Xavier will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd. The Bombers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Fighting Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight. As for La Salle, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Fairmont on the 26th.
