Basketball Recap: Hampton Hawks vs. Twin River Titans
Hampton lost against Twin River two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hampton Hawks had to suffer through a 70-43 loss at the hands of the Twin River Titans. The Hawks were down 60-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Hampton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Dose, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. That's the most boards Dose has posted since back in December of 2024. Landen Rojewski was another key player, going 7-for-14 to rack up 16 points and five rebounds.
Corbin Rodriguez was a one-man wrecking crew for Twin River as he went 5-for-12 en route to 14 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Colsten Rodriguez, who scored 14 points.
Hampton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Twin River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.
Coincidentally, Hampton and Twin River will both be playing Dorchester the next time they take the court. Twin River will head out to face Dorchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Hampton will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
