Volleyball Recap: Bertie Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bertie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Holmes Aces. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

Holmes was led to victory by Harper Evans and Dalecia Simpson. Evans had 12 assists and eight aces, while Simpson had seven aces and five assists. Evans has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 39 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Camryn Goodwin, who had four aces.

Bertie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Holmes, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Aces beat Bertie by a score of 3-0 later that day.
