Basketball Recap: Nine Straight Road Wins for Christian Family Academy

Christian Family Academy extended their road winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Charles Murray. The Christian Family Academy Fire came out on top against the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors by a score of 56-45 on Monday thanks in part to Murray, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Lure Classical Academy lost, don't look at Ashawn Camp. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points along with five boards and three steals. That was a full 48.9% of Lake Lure Classical Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Hill Moore, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Christian Family Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.
