Baseball Recap: Fountain Valley Takes a Loss

Fountain Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Warren on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 5-4. The Barons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Josh Grack was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tyler Peshke was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Fountain Valley's record now sits at 15-13. As for Warren, their win bumped their record up to 16-12.

As of now, neither Fountain Valley nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
