Basketball Recap: Seneca Bobcats vs. Westside Rams
Seneca lost against Westside back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Seneca Bobcats were dealt a 77-23 loss at the hands of the Westside Rams. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Rams are ranked 23rd).

Savannah Weston and Ja'Nyce Floyd certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Weston posted seven points and ten rebounds, while Floyd had six points and three steals. Weston has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times she's played.
Seneca has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Westside, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Seneca will take on Greenville in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Westside, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westside knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Boiling Springs likes a good challenge.
