Basketball Recap: Bainbridge Find Success

Bainbridge won the last time they faced Miller County and things went their way on Saturday too. It was close, but the Bainbridge Bearcats capped 2024 with a 49-46 victory over the Miller County Pirates. The win was some much needed relief for the Bearcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bainbridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Miller County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bainbridge will take on Cairo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bainbridge is facing Cairo at the right time seeing as Cairo is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Miller County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mitchell County at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Mitchell County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
