Softball Recap: Gloucester City Gets the Win

Gloucester City gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Hammonton Blue Devils by a score of 8-5. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2017.

Gloucester City's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Hammonton, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

Coming up, Gloucester City will venture away from home to challenge Delran at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Hammonton, they will be playing at home against Holy Spirit at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
