Basketball Game Preview: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Carl Hayden Community Falcons

The Paradise Valley Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Carl Hayden Community Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Carl Hayden Community likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Paradise Valley humbled Verrado with a 58-27 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Paradise Valley found their leader in sophomore Neha Patel, who posted 22 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Patel has scored at least a third of Paradise Valley's points.

Meanwhile, Carl Hayden Community hadn't done well against Alhambra recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Carl Hayden Community put the hurt on Alhambra with a sharp 50-24 victory. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

The win made it two in a row for Carl Hayden Community and bumps their season record up to 7-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Paradise Valley, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
