Baseball Recap: El Dorado Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop Gorman, El Dorado was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They skirted past the Liberty Lions 2-1.

Steven Duran tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, El Dorado saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Vanderzee, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

El Dorado has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Dorado will take on Foothill at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Liberty, they will challenge O'Connor at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
