Softball Recap: Wahkiakum Comes Up Short

Wahkiakum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 29-17 to the Morton/White Pass Timberwolves. Even if the Mules couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Evy Hogue made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Amy Horman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Wahkiakum's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Morton/White Pass, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Coming up, Morton/White Pass will challenge Adna at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wahkiakum will be paying especially close attention to the Timberwolves' matchup: after the Timberwolves face off against North Beach, they'll take on Wahkiakum again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
