Basketball Game Preview: Metro Tech Knights vs. Fairfax Stampede

Metro Tech is on a seven-game streak of home losses, Fairfax a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Metro Tech Knights will host the Fairfax Stampede at 7:00 p.m.

On Monday, Metro Tech had to suffer through a 67-39 loss at the hands of North. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Mustangs are ranked 143rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairfax). They breezed by Alhambra to the tune of 70-36 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Stampede as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Fairfax's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15. As for Metro Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 1-21.
