Softball Game Preview: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Taft Toreadors

The Cleveland Cavaliers will head out to square off against the Taft Toreadors at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cleveland has now lost 15 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 10.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Cleveland and Chatsworth had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Cavaliers fell 5-2 to the Chancellors on Monday. Cavaliers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Chancellors since on Monday.

Cleveland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica Van Zyl, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Taft came up short against El Camino Real on Monday, falling 17-5. The Toreadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexandra Chase made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Cleveland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.

Cleveland couldn't quite get it done against Taft in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 10-7. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
