The Northside Panthers fell victim to the Sterling Raiders''s stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 70-0 defeat at the hands of the Raiders. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northside in their matchups with Sterling: they've now lost five in a row.

Jacques Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sterling, throwing for 170 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes.

Northside's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Wisdom (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.3% over those games). As for Sterling, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Northside will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ball at 7:00 p.m. Ball knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Northside likes a good challenge.
