Meanwhile, Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Robert C. Byrd on the road by a 47-29 margin. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fairmont Senior's loss ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
