Softball Recap: Lee Williams Comes Up Short

Lee Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-2 to the Flagstaff Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 on Saturday.

Lee Williams saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vanessa Whiterock, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Lee Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Flagstaff, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lee Williams will take on rival Prescott at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Flagstaff is set to square off against their familiar foe Bradshaw Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
