Basketball Recap: Land O' Lakes Takes a Loss

Land O' Lakes suffered their biggest defeat since February 6, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Sports Leadership & Management Spartans, falling 69-45. The Gators have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Land O' Lakes lost, don't look at Jacoby Davis. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds. Davis continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Frierson, who posted seven points.

Land O' Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Sports Leadership & Management, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Land O' Lakes will welcome Steinbrenner at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will head out to challenge Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Sports Leadership & Management's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
