Soccer Recap: Tatum Comes Up Short

Tatum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Center Roughriders. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 758th, while the Roughriders are ranked 331st).

Tatum's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tatum will host Kilgore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tatum has given up an average of 5.1 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Center, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Sabine at 6:45 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Sabine sitting on four straight wins and Center on three.
