Softball Recap: East Robertson Beats Pope John Paul II for Their Fourth Straight Win

East Robertson entered their tilt with Pope John Paul II on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Knights. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by just one run.

Harlee Ghee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Anna Highsmith was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

East Robertson's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pope John Paul II, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Robertson will venture away from home to challenge Westmoreland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pope John Paul II, they will head out to face off against Lipscomb Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
