Parsippany Hills (Parsippany, N.J.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 35-14 win over
Randolph (N.J.).
The Vikings put up 14 points in the opening quarter. Parsippany Hills scored on a touchdown run by
JD Keyes and a touchdown pass by
Brandon Katzenberger to
Nicholas Hill.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Keyes in the first quarter, PH was up 21-6 at the half.
The Parsippany school saw its 15-point halftime lead fall to 14 entering the fourth.
Randolph's only touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the third quarter.
The Vikings came into the game allowing 11.9 points per game.
The win was a nice bounce back for Parsippany Hills, which lost to West Morris Central last week, 22-21. The defeat comes as a step back for Randolph, who notched a 31-3 victory over Roxbury in its previous outing. The victory snapped Parsippany Hills' two-game losing streak. The loss broke Randolph's three-game winning streak.
Parsippany Hills (6-2) goes up against High Point in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Randolph (4-3) locks horns with Morris Knolls also in a non-conference game.
