Volleyball Game Preview: Marshfield Bluejays vs. Logan-Rogersville Wildcats

Marshfield hasn't had much luck against Logan-Rogersville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bluejays will take on the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Marshfield faced off against Glendale on Monday. The Bluejays took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Marshfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Logan-Rogersville narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Camdenton 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Logan-Rogersville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 23-25, 25-12, 25-16, 18-16.

Marshfield's loss dropped their record down to 25-8-2. As for Logan-Rogersville, their win bumped their record up to 24-6-1.

Marshfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Logan-Rogersville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Bluejays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
