Basketball Recap: Zeeland West Takes a Loss

If Zeeland West was riding high fresh off their 52-31 takedown of Zeeland East last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Zeeland West Dux lost 48-24 to the Grand Haven Buccaneers on Friday. The game marked the Dux's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Zeeland West's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Grand Haven, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Zeeland West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grand Haven, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hudsonville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
