Baseball Recap: Minford Victorious

Minford's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Dawson-Bryant Hornets 7-5. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win got Minford back to even at 8-8. As for Dawson-Bryant, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Minford and Dawson-Bryant could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Falcons will take on Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (377 vs. 118). Meanwhile, Dawson-Bryant (ranked 671st) will meet Portsmouth (ranked 328th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
